MCHC is seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor to support billing department operations and partner with the Billing Manager to improve revenue cycle performance. This role assists with staff training, process improvement and ensuring compliant, efficient billing practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Billing Manager with reporting, analysis, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve revenue cycle issues and improve workflows.
- Assists in training staff in compliant and efficient billing practices, including coding, documentation, and system use.
- Respond to billing inquiries from patients and staff in a timely manner.
- Assist with monthly reporting, aging accounts, and credit balance resolution.
- Help maintain billing forms, workflows, and compliance with industry updates.
Staff Training & Billing Process Support
- Oversee and train staff on charge/payment posting, demographics verification, and claims submission.
- Ensure timely billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Generate patient statements and monthly reports.
- Support Medicare credit balance reporting and proper documentation practices.
- Educate staff on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS updates and ensure coding accuracy.
- Monitor adjustments, identify errors, and implement workflow improvements.
- Balance daily deposits with system totals.

Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a health care setting with increase in responsibility.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications including Windows and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Coder
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field
- OCHIN Epic experience
