About the Role

Okie Staffing is seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment at active job sites.

This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently and comfortable in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment in the field
  • Perform maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
  • Service equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and other construction machinery
  • Complete preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Conduct inspections and identify mechanical issues
  • Accurately document repairs and completed work
  • Follow all safety procedures on job sites
  • Work outdoors in heat, sun, and changing weather conditions

Work Environment

Schedule & Pay
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays based on workload
  • $22.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience
