About the Role
Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to support precision inspection and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), ensuring all parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and program CMM equipment (Zeiss G2 preferred) to inspect precision components
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
  • Make informed decisions on product acceptance or rejection based on specifications
  • Document inspection results in accordance with company policies and AS9100 standards
  • Identify, tag, and control nonconforming materials throughout the inspection process
  • Prioritize workload to support production flow and prevent delays or stoppages
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
  • Develop or modify CMM programs based on engineering requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2+ years of CMM operation and/or programming experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience with AS9100 quality systems
  • Proficiency with standard inspection tools and layout inspections
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Zeiss G2 5-axis CMM machines
  • Working knowledge of Calypso software
  • Experience with CATIA (annotation)
  • CMM certification
  • NDT Certification (Level I, II, or III – Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)
  • Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during inspections
  • Comfortable working throughout a manufacturing environment

Pay: Starting at $19+/hr DOE
