Position Overview

The HR People Coordinator will support the People and Culture team in various operations and people-based initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth onboarding process, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and assisting with various HR functions and special projects. As the company grows, the HR People Operations Coordinator will help develop and implement new processes and systems to support this growth.

Position Responsibilities

New Hire Orientation and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the preparation and facilitation of new hire orientation.
  • Manage all relevant paperwork and systems processes for onboarding new employees.

HR Operations Support:

  • Assist in a variety of HR functions and special HR projects as needed.
  • Stay abreast of relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR processes and procedures to promote a fair and inclusive work environment.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle the day-to-day administrative needs of the People & Culture department.
  • Operate with the highest level of confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • Draft basic documents for review and revision, including the creation or maintenance of spreadsheets and established templates.
  • Provides recruitment support and coordination as needed.

Skills/Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an HR coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, best practices, and relevant employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to operate with the highest level of confidentiality.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$50,000 - $65,000/year*

 *Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
