Project Description

Our project, GroundOS, is not just another screen manager. It is a next-generation Universal Display System (UDS) built to power the future of global mobility. We are building an "Operating System for Reality" that orchestrates massive, data-driven signage networks across critical infrastructure, from major international airports to sprawling public transport systems. GroundOS moves beyond static displays; it uses a state-of-the-art digital twin to process and react to real-time operational data. To guarantee continuous operation, the platform features a resilient, offline-first edge architecture that ensures screens keep running smoothly even if the network fails. Tasks

• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from database design to frontend UI implementation.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Implement Connect RPC definitions to guarantee type safety from the DB to the frontend.
• Visualize real-time data from NATS streams on the UI without causing render-blocking lag.
• Design and implement "Offline-First" UX patterns, including optimistic UI updates and background request queuing.
• Design database schemas that gracefully support synchronization, conflict resolution, and data merging.
• Collaborate closely with designers to ensure UI flows respect technical limitations like network latency.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS (Modules, Services, Dependency Injection).
• Advanced frontend architecture and state management skills, specifically managing local state that syncs with backends.
• Experience implementing end-to-end type safety across a full application stack.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of agile development
• Solid knowledge of Scrum
• Experience working in agile projects and teams
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (B2–C1)
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work independently

Advantages

• Experience with CRDTs (Conflict-free Replicated Data Types).
• Background in building real-time dashboards or high-frequency data applications.
