Doubletree by Hilton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Where you can make an impact:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands and guest expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure flavor and presentation meet resort standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and specials, providing input on new dishes.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food products and reporting any shortages.
- Support kitchen operations by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen atmosphere.
Requirements
Education/Formal Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality management preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred.
- Familiarity with property management systems is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing outstanding service.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and reservation software.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
