The Aircraft Avionics Technician A - NHC is responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft avionics systems in support of new aircraft completions and modifications.
Essential Functions:
- Perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacturing of aircraft.
- Install electrical harness and sub-assemblies in aircraft by performing, but not limited to, the following activities: basic identification of wire and coax cable, clamping, bundling, mounting, routing, stripping, splicing's, soldering, termination.
- Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
- Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
- Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
- Current Airframe or Powerplant license is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
