About the Role

Description

Sapporo brewed the first beer of Japan in 1876. It’s now the number one selling Asian beer brand in the U.S. thanks to its best-selling Sapporo Premium. Sapporo acquired Stone Brewing in 2022 to brew all of Sapporo’s beer for the U.S. market. Stone Brewing, established in 1996, pioneered the West Coast Style IPA helping to fuel the modern craft beer revolution. Now one company, Sapporo-Stone Brewing is among the 15 largest breweries in the U.S. and operates production facilities in Escondido, CA and Richmond, VA plus seven Stone Brewing taproom and bistro locations. Summary

Our Taproom Crew Members are responsible for engaging in and executing beer and merchandise sales while creating and delivering an amazing fan experience. We trust our Crew Members with handling all fan questions and concerns and seek solutions that guarantee meeting our service standards. Success as a Taproom Crew Member involves staying updated on industry standards, maintaining the taprooms visual appeal, and showcasing it’s beer offerings.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver amazing fan service in all interactions with fans, vendors, team members, and industry partners.
  • Pour and serve beer, brewed cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks according to company standards.
  • Execute opening and closing duties as per company training guidelines.
  • Plan and conduct brewery tours, including public speaking engagements.
  • Stock merchandise and beer inventory, to meet visual standards.
  • Maintain Taproom displays, merchandise, and cleanliness.
  • Operate POS system accurately for sales transactions.
  • Understand and comply with health and safety regulations for Team Members and fans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and municipal health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain Taproom cleanliness and sanitation according to company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or training, preferably in a beverage or retail environment. Must have cash handling experience, preferably with a POS system.
  • POS system experience is strongly preferred.? Must possess effective public speaking skills.
  • Responsible Alcohol Server certification required. Cicerone Certified Beer Server or higher preferred.
