Job Description

Support large scale infrastructure delivery as the subject matter expert across digital engineering and related data platforms in this Senior Digital Coordinator role.  You will be providing technical digital and modelling leadership and advice, across multidiscipline related vertical infrastructure projects that are large, complex and critical for the communities they are built for.  No two days will be the same with the rapidly evolving nature of technology, and with the innovation and application activities underway across infrastructure projects to make a difference in project delivery. 

In this role, you will be a key part of close-knit team of digital experts, working collaboratively to support the broader AECOM business.  You will have scope to work independently or play a leadership role advocating for digital requirements to support project delivery excellence.  This role enables you to rapidly develop your technically, digital and data management related capability through on the job application of your abilities, as well as being supported at AECOM by our local teams and global industry leaders, within a firm committed to technological innovation.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Drive best‑practice 3D/BIM modelling, orchestrate high‑quality project coordination
  • Automate workflows using Python and Dynamo, enhance data interoperability, and elevate digital capabilities across the team. 
  • Produce 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for wet and dry utility networks as per project requirements.
  • Work in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project BIM standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers and BIM leads to resolve drafting and modelling issues.
  • Assist with clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
  • Update models and drawings based on design revisions and authority comments.
  • Support quantity take-offs and schedule extraction from BIM models.

Qualifications

You will have a broad skill set with recent experience in digital engineering and coordination with the ability to advocate for digital, data and BIM related requirements across projects.  You will be known for your abilities to build connections across different clients and teams, reaching common ground to enable digital project delivery.  Your prior experience and background across infrastructure related projects will be important – being able to understand the terminology, engineering, design and project stages across horizontal infrastructure will be a key part of success in this role. 

You will be known for your ability to work collaboratively in teams, be delivery focused, be able to problem-solve and chip in to help the team as required.  The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, however if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.   • Experience and a background in using collaborative platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud & Bentley ProjectWise (ideally as a subject matter user expert on at least one platform)
  • A track record of BIM project coordination including issue management with the ability to understand data flows across platforms and Common Data Environments
  • Ideally in civil and infrastructure projects preferably transportation related (bridges, roads, rail and transportation buildings)
  • Advanced knowledge in 3D BIM modelling and documentation using Autodesk Revit or 12D or OpenRoads
  • The ability to code in Python and Dynamo (Workflow automations preferable)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science or Structural engineering
