About the Role

At Whirlwind Steel, we design and manufacture high-quality metal building systems used across a wide range of industries. As a Manufacturing Support Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our production operations running efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in a team environment, and is looking to grow within a manufacturing setting.


 What You’ll Do 

  • Support daily production activities by moving materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility 
  • Assist operators and team members on the production line as needed 
  • Perform basic quality checks to identify visible defects or inconsistencies 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times 
  • Prepare tools, equipment, and work areas for upcoming production runs 
  • Follow all company safety standards and report any concerns immediately 
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to keep workflow on track 
  • Take initiative to learn new skills and contribute to process improvements 
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support production needs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments is helpful 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials 
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment 
  • Good teamwork and communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take direction 
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus, but not required 
  • Basic math skills to support measurements and production tasks
