About the Role

Foster Care Licensing Specialist

📍 Greenville, NC  

Methodist Home for Children is seeking a detail‑oriented, mission‑driven Foster Care Licensing Specialist to support our foster families. If you have experience in foster care services and enjoy working directly with families while traveling throughout your service region, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective foster parents through the licensing process in accordance with NC regulations and MHC policies

  • Train, support, and monitor foster families to ensure ongoing compliance and quality care

  • Recruit, screen, and assess potential foster homes

  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program success through collaboration and communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

  • 2+ years of post‑graduate experience in foster care, child welfare, or related human services

  • Strong understanding of North Carolina foster care standards and practices

  • Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned service areas

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Commitment to supporting children and families with professionalism and compassion
