Field Supervisor (Seasonal)

Summary/Objective

The Field Supervisor is responsible for supervising the City’s used athletic fields, including, but not limited to, those used during the T-ball and soccer seasons. This includes ensuring the setup and clean-up of the fields are appropriate.   

• Responsible for ensuring necessary equipment is in good condition and set up and collected before and after each game. 
• Responsible for ensuring there are ice and water coolers available when necessary. 
• Responsible for performing light custodial cleaning of park facilities near the assigned field. Duties may include checking and restocking restrooms, as well as disposing of trash and debris near the fields. 
• Monitor game times, making adjustments to the schedule as needed.  
• Monitor weather conditions and work with the Sports Supervisor to make decisions regarding inclement weather, which may warrant cancelling participation or seeking shelter.
• Report any safety or field condition concerns to the Sports Supervisor. 

Education, Training, and Certification Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older. 
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of college preferred. 
• Must enjoy working with the public. 
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the City’s drivers Use of Vehicles for City Business policy throughout employment with the City.
