Duties also include collaborating on Radiation Therapy planning and maintaining scanner quality assurance procedures in compliance with regulations.

HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. Ct position will be for Brittonfield and Camillus only. CT Technologist - Starting salary $31.00 per hour + (based on experience) Bonuses/Stipends as well as a generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, std, ltd,401k/pension, tuition reimbursement, Convenient free parking etc.
CT Technologist
Prepare CT suite for each patient, including loading contrast injector and reviewing pre-CT lab results and CT orders. Prepare and instruct patient on procedure for oral and IV contrast according to protocol. Review patient questionnaire and obtain signed consent for IV contrast exams. Place IV line for IV contrast administration. Review patient’s medical history, symptoms, and relevant prior imaging exams before scanning. Perform CT examinations on Siemens Definition AS Open scanner according to protocols provided by reading Radiologists (CRA). Perform post-processing of images as required by protocols or Radiologist/Oncologist request. Review CT images and transmit to Radiologists upon completion of scan. Work with Radiation Therapy Technologists and Radiation Oncologists on RT planning/simulations. Perform daily and monthly QA procedures for CT scanner, as well as daily warm-up/calibration, and keep records in compliance with ACR and NYS regulations. Maintain CT policy/procedure manuals.

CT License NYS
Continuing Education: Stays current with ARRT and NYSDOH requirements for CE credits and licensure.
