The Mill Wharf is a beloved coastal restaurant in Scituate, MA. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, fresh seafood, and scenic harbor views, The Mill Wharf serves as a favorite gathering place for both locals and visitors, offering relaxed coastal dining rooted in community and tradition.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and lead the front-of-house team to create a welcoming, well-run dining experience 
  • Help guide, train, and encourage FOH staff, offering feedback that builds confidence and teamwork 
  • Greet guests and remain present on the floor to ensure everyone feels comfortable, valued, and well cared for 
  • Thoughtfully address guest concerns and work to make every experience a positive one 
  • Keep the dining room clean, organized, and inviting throughout each shift 
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily task coordination to support smooth service 
  • Work closely with management and back-of-house teams to keep communication clear and service flowing.
  • Ensure health, safety, and service standards are met with care and consistency 
  • Support special events, promotions, and group dining to help create memorable moments for guests

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
