Green Coyote Cantina in Marietta is Looking for Experienced Line Cooks!

At Green Coyote, it’s about having fun, kicking up your heels, and howling at the moon with friends and family. We believe in old-fashioned hospitality as you’d find in a Far West Texas cantina – a place with smiling service, classic Tex-Mex, and fresh margaritas. We throw in some classic outlaw music and a world-class patio, too. Our food is scratch-made, and we pride ourselves on authentic flavors and fresh food. Our margaritas are made with premium tequilas, mezcals, and fresh juices – and of course lots of cold Mexican beers. Guests can come early and stay late – we keep the tacos coming.


Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards. Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Follows proper Dress Code and SERV Safe/Health Department guidelines.
  • Line Checks and Temperature Log structure followed.
  • Follow all the recipes and build sheets every time.
  • Prepare and cook food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Ensure that food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed promptly
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies as needed
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments and dishwashing during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Opening and/or closing the kitchen properly and following the checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  • Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walk-ins, restrooms, dish areas, and outside areas through the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty.
