This includes accurately completing and verifying all necessary receiving and shipping paperwork.

Overview

Arrow Reload is looking for a Fuel Transloader in Scotford to join the Arrow Team. Liquid bulk (crude oil, jet fuel, molten sulphur etc.) comes to the facility by truck/rail and the transloader is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of product to truck/railcar by use of specialized equipment. Receiving and shipping paper work will need to be accurate and verified.
Responsibilities
- Load railcars with liquid bulk with mobile loading racks by removing tank domes, securing the loading equipment and hoses and operating the control panel
- Prepare the rail cars for loading/unloading; including a thorough inspection
- Daily loading/unloading of materials consisting of a variety of liquid bulk products
- Ability to operate or learn to operate and maintain railcar/transloading equipment (e.g. hoses, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
- Complete time sheets
- Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations participate in identifying hazards
- Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence
- Complying with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics
- Ability to understand cross training on all functions at facility
- Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork, timesheets, load reports, rail car defect reports, etc.
- May be asked to travel to other transload terminals to assist if necessary
- Understand how to properly sample and record the commodity for measurements and levels
- Assist haulers fixing their equipment to ours, checking for leaks and operating their pump as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

You Possess
- Training based on specific commodities may include, but is not limited to the following: specific equipment competences, H2S, SCBA, self contained breathing apparatus, T.D.G (Canada), HazMat (USA), Emergency Response Plan, over flow protection systems
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Willing to work with liquid bulk materials
- A sound understanding or aptitude to learn the transloading of liquid commodities including hazardous materials
- Basic training may include, but is not limited to the following: first aid, heat/cold stress prevention, fall protection, WHMIS, Rail Safe, PPE, Site Orientation
- Comfortable working at heights of up to 20 ft
- Physically able to safely climb railcars and ladders
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, heat, wind)
- Ability to complete the physical aspects of the job including opening and closing railcars dome lids, climb railcars (heights), crawl under railcars, walk long distances on uneven terrain, etc.
- Abiliity to carry at least 50 lbs and swing a 10 lbs sledge hammer
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Strong work ethic with a positive team-focussed attitude

- May be asked to travel to other transload terminals to assist if necessary
- Experience working with computers is considered an asset
