Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to help plan projects and establish the criteria by which project success will be measured. Responsibility will include establishing project inspection criteria, coordinating the review of project designs and ensuring the proper implementation of project elements.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitors project schedules regarding submittals, approvals and shop fabrication releases
- Organize detailing RFI process from formal RFI to customer informal RFI’s with the engineer, architect and general contractor
- Work closely with Document Control to maintain logs and avoid delays
- Reviews design drawings and 3-D BIM Models for accuracy and completeness Coordinates resolution of discrepancies and/or missing information with customers, design team, other trades, detailing, shop, and field personnel
- Create and manage project portals in Procore once a project has been awarded to BAPKO
- Coordinates project sequencing and basic detailing job setup including advance bills, shop and erection drawings
- Identify and communicate possible delays or problems to project management team
- Route drawings to appropriate parties
- Attend initial project site visit, project kick-off meeting, and visit job site as needed
- Other duties and task as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate Degree preferred
- Computer skills and ability to learn new programs
- Skillset that includes strong organization, verbal and written communications, and attention to detail
