Infusion Pharmacy Technician Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join our Tempe Infusion Pharmacy. In this role, you’ll help prepare and coordinate medications, supplies, and deliveries for our home infusion patients while maintaining accuracy, safety, and strong communication.

A major part of this position is cross-training. You will rotate through all areas of pharmacy operations — supply picking, packing, sterile production support, patient coordination, and order processing — giving you a well-rounded skill set and variety in your daily work.

This is a non-retail, office-based role with a strong team atmosphere and predictable hours.

Key Responsibilities

Infusion Pharmacy Production & Preparation

• Pick and label all supplies and medications needed for patient infusion orders
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, sterility, and completeness
• Pack materials securely for same-day or scheduled delivery
• Assist with sterile compounding in our clean room under pharmacist supervision as needed

Patient & Prescription Coordination

• Process new patient prescriptions and refill requests through CareTend
• Communicate with patients by phone about prescriptions, coordination of deliveries, and special requests
• Provide friendly, professional service with every interaction

Operational Support & Cross-Training

• Rotate through various pharmacy technician roles to support daily operations
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety and compliance standards
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, drivers, and fellow technicians to ensure seamless patient care
• Support workflow improvements and help ensure timely, accurate order processing

Qualifications

• Arizona Pharmacy Technician License (required)
• Previous sterile compounding, infusion, or healthcare experience a plus (but we will train!)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Willingness to learn and rotate through multiple pharmacy roles
