We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in AWS cloud services and Ubuntu/Linux administration to build, maintain, and improve our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)
Administer and troubleshoot Ubuntu/Linux servers in production environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and outages
Manage containerized applications using Docker and (preferably) Kubernetes
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies
Collaborate with developers to optimize application deployment and performance
Apply security best practices for cloud and Linux systems (patching, hardening, IAM policies, secrets management)
Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
Strong experience managing Ubuntu/Linux servers (CLI, networking, systemd, logs, permissions)
Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation
Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration concepts
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, SSL/TLS)
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
Understanding of DevOps best practices, version control (Git), and agile workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in AWS
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer)
Experience with security/compliance standards and hardening
Experience supporting production systems with on-call responsibilities
Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration across engineering teams
Ability to work independently and handle production incidents calmly
