Inside Sales Representative

The representative must maintain 90 minutes of daily talk time and make over 100 daily outbound touchpoints (calls and emails) to drive meaningful conversations and support new customer growth. Responsibilities also include prospecting, pitching, closing new customers, supporting renewals, and recommending subscription solutions based on library needs.

Junior Library Guild (JLG) delivers expertly curated book collections to K–12 schools and public libraries nationwide. Librarians rely on our subscription boxes to keep their shelves filled with the newest, most in‑demand books for young readers.

 

We’ve opened our new Inside Sales Center in Dublin, Ohio, and the team energy is incredible — high‑impact coaching, shared wins, and a culture built around growth. What You’ll Do

  • Maintain 90 minutes of daily talk time to drive meaningful conversations
  • Make 100+ daily outbound touchpoints (calls + emails)
  • Hit activity goals that support new customer growth
  • Prospect, pitch, and close new customers, while supporting renewals
  • Understand each library’s collection needs and recommend subscription solutions
  • Track performance using dashboards and scorecards
  • Contribute to a positive, team-first culture that values effort, resilience, and consistency

 

Schedule Options

  • Mon–Thu: two days 8AM–5PM and two days 10AM–7PM; Fri 8AM–5PM
    JLG’s preferred schedule for reaching West Coast librarians — California librarians love JLG!
  • Mon–Thu: 10AM–7PM; Fri 8AM–5PM
  • Mon–Fri: 8AM–5PM

 

Travel: Up to 10% for conferences and events.

 

What You Bring

  • 1+ year of outbound inside sales experience
  • Comfort with a high‑activity, metrics‑driven environment
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar CRMs
  • A coachable, competitive, resilient mindset
  • A genuine love for selling on the phone

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • On-target earnings: $60K–$80K+
  • Base salary: $48,000 + commission + bonus
  • Uncapped commission
