About the Role

Employment Type: Fixed term, full time | Parental leave cover

Hours: 38 Hours per week | Rotating roster

Salary: In line with the Enterprise Agreement and will be based on your years of experience (hourly base rate between $42.54-$52.82)

About the opportunity

The Special Care Nursery is a 15-bed Level 4 unit, providing exceptional family-focused care to for babies born from 32 weeks gestation. We are seeking a motivated, experienced neonatal nurse to join our friendly, supportive team for a 12 month maternity leave cover contract.

  • Provide high quality flexible care to infants and their families

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Midwife

  • A strong commitment to delivery of high quality family-centred care

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills

  • Recent experience caring for sick or premature neonates 

  • Post Graduate qualification in Special Care Nursery / Neonatal Intensive Care desirable

You will also be required to provide:

  • A Police Record Check - organised by Mercy health

  • Current Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
