About the Role

Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Administration of bi-weekly payrolls
  • Timely and accurately process payroll for a fluctuating workforce of full time and part time employees (tipped and non-tipped) using Paylocity and Toast 
  • Prepare and distribute standard and custom payroll reports 
  • Review, process, and reconcile time off requests and balances
  • Work with our payroll provider to reconcile tax inquiries and/or discrepancies
  • Interact daily in a professional manner with all levels of employees to address      wages and benefits 
  • Assist employees in requests for employment and payroll documents 
  • Assist A/P Specialist with processing invoices
  • Daily maintenance and reconciliation of event & catering sales
  • Assist accounting & HR teams with miscellaneous daily, weekly and monthly tasks
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary
  • Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictates

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience (including 1 year in a full service, tipped restaurant)
  • Strong analytical skills, computer proficiency and technical aptitude; Microsoft 365 (including Excel) and Google Suite
  • Experience with HR information systems (Paylocity is a plus)
  • Ability to handle stress under pressure and multitask
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision; self-motivated and anticipate needs of company 
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

  

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
  • Onsite, in office work environment
