Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a technically strong Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career (5–10 years’ experience) who has delivered complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects within the education and healthcare sector. We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step—joining a global, tier-one project management consultancy.
Responsibilities:
- Support and lead the delivery of technical building services projects, with a strong emphasis on electrical and controls systems.
- Manage the design and delivery of MEP projects in live, operational environments.
- Develop and grow Turner & Townsend’s technical services offering across client portfolios and internal teams.
- Plan and oversee works with a focus on safety, quality, and performance outcomes.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications including the production of formal project progress and other reports. · Establish and manage project governance, reporting, and change control processes.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors across all project stages.
- Support procurement activities and tender evaluations.
- Contribute to internal processes, financial management, and quality assurance.
Qualifications
Requirement:
- 3 –10 years of experience in building/technical services
- Background in design consultancy or MEP services delivery contracting.
- Strong technical capability and deep understanding of building systems.
- Proven experience managing projects in live, operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience in risk identification and management / mitigate for construction programs and mission critical systems.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering (electrical/mechanical) is required, or substantial, demonstrable industry experience in a relevant technical field.
- Experience in a client facing role heath or education sector
