Role:

The Product Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing data to inform product decisions. Conducts market research, evaluates product performance, and collaborates with leaders across the organization to ensure products meet member needs and business goals. Provides actionable insights that guide product strategy and decision-making and works closely with the Director of Business Intelligence and the Gulf Winds Product Committee to ensure target market alignment and visibility into the products roadmap. The role involves both quantitative and qualitative analysis to optimize product performance and drive business growth.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

30% Data Analysis: Collects and analyzes data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for product improvement. Uses statistical techniques and business intelligence tools to interpret insights.

25% Product Performance Evaluation: Monitors KPIs and product metrics, assesses product performance against goals and recommends enhancements for optimization.

20% Market Research: Conducts research on industry trends, member needs, and competitors. Analyzes market data to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.

10% Member Feedback Analysis: Gathers feedback through surveys, interviews, focus groups or polls to understand user experience and identify areas for improvement.

10% Product Roadmap Support: Assists the Gulf Winds Product Committee in defining product features, prioritizing development efforts and supporting iterations and enhancements.

5% Other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1.    Data is collected effectively and trends and patterns are identified. Business intelligence tools are being used effectively and with a high level of understanding.

2.    Produces actionable insights that materially improve the performance of the credit union’s product portfolio. KPIs and other product metrics are monitored effectively, and business goals are fully understood.

3.    Market research is conducted often and effectively to properly capture and document industry trends and competitor product strategy.

4.    Member feedback is properly analyzed by understanding and using feedback repository data effectively.

5.    Product roadmap remains current and the Gulf Winds Product Committee and Executive Leadership Team have access as needed.

6.    Reporting quality is maintained with a high degree of excellence. Product roadmap dashboards are accurately maintained in the prescribed Business Intelligence repositories; dashboards and reports are complete, accurate, and timely.

7.    Complies with all applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC, and Physical Security.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience    A minimum of two years of similar or related experience. Financial institution experience preferred.

Education    (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Proven experience may be acceptable in lieu of listed education.

Interpersonal Skills    Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills    Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Jack Henry and Microsoft product suites is preferred. Ability to discuss product related technical issues effectively. Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English clearly. Ability to work and travel independently.

Physical Requirements    This role requires sitting at a computer for most of the day. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.

Work Environment    The position is based in-office in our Pensacola, Florida market, operates primarily in an office setting, and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and phones. This position requires consistent in-office presence to collaborate with team members and fulfill job responsibilities effectively. It requires actively participating in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and vendors. The standard expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After-hours work or travel may be required to meet project deadlines or attend conferences, seminars, or meetings. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations.
