Job Description
- Execute scoping and implementation tasks for database migration to Cloud
- Perform scoping and implementation activities for data obsolescence management projects
- Define database architecture and deliver database environments for new applications
- Handle project-related support requests concerning PostgreSQL databases
- Perform database design optimization (modelling advice, index strategy, performance tuning)
- Conduct database audits on demand (architecture review, performance analysis, configuration review)
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure stability, availability, and performance of database services
- Contribute to the evolution of the database infrastructure and participate in process automation initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA and complementary some expertise in Oracle (or another DBMS)
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, installation, configuration, and performance tuning
- Proficiency with Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS or equivalent)
- Experience in database migration projects (ideally from on‑premise to Cloud)
- Understanding of high availability mechanisms (streaming replication, failover, backup & recovery)
- Experience with database modelling and SQL optimization
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (Shell, Python or similar)
- Experience working in multi‑environment contexts (DEV, QA, PROD)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned tasks
- English – professional level; French – intermediate (minimum B1)
