About the Role

Description

The primary purpose of the Accounting Manager is to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization’s financial processes, close cycle, and transactional workflows. You will be responsible for two direct reports to achieve this goal.


  • Oversee daily accounting operations. 
  • Lead the month-end close process. 
  • Manage commission preparation and approval. 
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  •  Manage daily cash operations and banking transactions.
  • Ensure sales tax compliance.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for invoicing and payment inquiries.
  • Support AP operations and provide backup coverage.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and process improvements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
  • Directly manage AR and AP Staff Accountants.
  • Month-End Close Timeliness and Accuracy.
  • Cash Forecast Accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role if no degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • If no degree, 5 plus years is needed
  • Strong working knowledge of AR, AP, and GL accounting functions
