This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathes to produce parts according to engineering drawings and maintaining all required operational logs. The operator must also ensure the certification process is followed and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Purpose of Function:
This function sets up and operates the CNC Lathes and run parts according to engineering drawings. The function is also responsible for certification
Main Tasks/Responsibilities/Authorities:
Main Tasks:
- Review production orders to verify correct specifications
- Set up lathe and operate per specifications
- Maintain all logs
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Alert Manager of any repair needs of other areas of concern with regard to the facility
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
- Assist in manufacturing processes as directed
- Assist in engineering processes as directed
- Perform a variety of tasks to support the day to day operations of the business
Requirements
Function Requirements: (education, experience, competences, etc)
The Lathe technician should have a high school degree or equivalent. Prior experience in a manufacturing technician role, following work instructions and using a lathe is required.
