About the Role

Summary

This role supports Revenue Management by developing accurate demand forecasts, analysing market trends, and optimising availability strategies to maximise revenue performance. The role is responsible for monitoring booking trends, incorporating market changes into demand forecasts, and supporting network planning decisions through data-driven insights. Working closely with Pricing, Network Planning, Sales, and Operations teams, the Demand Analyst ensures demand signals are translated into actionable strategies that support commercial performance and route profitability.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting & Analysis

  • Develop, calibrate, and maintain demand forecasts at Origin-Destination (OD) level.

  • Analyse booking trends, seasonality patterns, and market demand signals to ensure forecasts remain accurate and relevant.

  • Detect forecast bias or drift and refine models accordingly.

  • Monitor booking curves and demand performance against forecast.

Availability & Revenue Optimisation

  • Implement demand-driven availability strategies aligned with revenue objectives.

  • Work with Pricing and Network teams to adjust availability strategies to protect high-yield demand.

  • Support demand planning to optimise traffic mix and route revenue performance.

Market Intelligence & Demand Signals

  • Monitor market developments such as competitor actions, events, disruptions, and macro trends.

  • Translate market insights into demand adjustments and forecasting inputs.

  • Evaluate the impact of market changes through analysis and back-testing.

Events & Seasonal Planning

  • Manage demand planning for holidays and special events.

  • Analyse uplift patterns and ensure availability strategies capture peak demand opportunities.

  • Maintain event calendars and demand profiles.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track booking performance and forecast accuracy through regular analysis.

  • Identify underperforming routes or markets and recommend corrective actions.

  • Produce insights and reports for stakeholders to support decision making.

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain demand-related configurations in revenue management systems (e.g., PROS).

  • Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and compliance with system standards.

  • Support testing and validation of system changes.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Contribute to projects that improve forecasting models, automation, and analytics capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and workflow efficiency.

  • Share best practices and contribute to revenue management knowledge development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in data analysis, forecasting, revenue management, or analytics is preferred.

  • Experience in airline revenue management or commercial analytics is an advantage

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into business recommendations.

  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (SQL, Python, or similar is a plus)
