In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Process design such as glass/metal machining, glass/resin thermoforming, dry/wet film formation, inspection
- Clarification of the principles of defects and countermeasures (analysis based on statistics, thermodynamics, composition analysis, optics, vacuum, etc.)
- Supplier management (technical support for existing companies, search for new suppliers)
- Introduction and maintenance of manufacturing and measuring equipment (machining equipment, thermal processing equipment, inspection equipment)
- Creation of documents such as work standards and inspection reports
- Design change for in-house parts associated with the defect countermeasures and improvements
- Verification of design changes and preparation of verification reports
- Responding to technical inquiries and participating in meetings for products jointly produced with overseas sites.
- Automation and digitalization of the production process
- Other general tasks for maintaining production
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Graduated from a college or university graduate level (materials, machinery, chemistry)
- Proficient in Japanese at a business level
- Proficient in Business English skills (TOEIC score; 700 point or more)
- Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years exp. OR Master’s degree infield with 3+ years exp. OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years exp.
