The agency has been a provider of behavioral health (BH) and related services to adults and children in rural Maine for nearly 60 years. About the Role

Description

Are you passionate about behavioral health and crisis intervention? We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Mobile Crisis Service Provider to join our team part-time (24 hours/week) and make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing emotional and behavioral health crises in our Houlton Outpatient Office full-time. 


As a Mobile Crisis Provider, you will respond to urgent behavioral health situations in the community—at homes, schools, homeless shelters, public spaces, etc, providing assessment, de-escalation, and short-term support. You'll work closely with law enforcement, hospitals, and behavioral health partners to ensure safety and connect individuals to ongoing care. 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to crisis calls in homes, public places, and with law enforcement
     
  • Evaluate individuals in crisis and help stabilize their situation
     
  • Develop crisis plans and connect individuals with services
     
  • Support families and community members affected by a crisis
     
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, and treatment providers
     
  • Educate the public about available crisis services and resources
     
  • Facilitate crisis stabilization groups and follow up with clients
     
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
     
  • Provide community debriefing and support after critical incidents

Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position


Requirements

  •  This position requires an associate's degree from an accredited college or university. A bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field is preferred.
  • MHRT-CSP certification is required to carry out the assigned responsibilities of the position. The MHRT-CSP training will be provided by the agency upon hire.
  • A valid driver’s license is required. 
  • CPR/First Aid Training, Mandt, START, and CAMS are required training provided within one year of employment.
  • Must be trained to administer and carry NARCAN. Training will be provided by the agency upon hire.
