Principle Purpose of Job
The Event Support team plays a key role in delivering exceptional group and wedding experiences at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. This position focuses on event setup and execution, supporting banquet operations through room preparation, food and beverage service, and post-event breakdown. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, detail-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, event-focused environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set up event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs) and direction from event leadership, including tables, linens, place settings, décor, and buffet arrangements
· Attend pre-event line-up meetings to understand event details, guest expectations, and service flow
· Execute seamless service for weddings, corporate groups, and special events, including buffet and plated meal service in a consistent and timely manner
· Provide beverage service, including water, coffee, wine service, and bar support as needed; maintain and replenish beverage stations throughout events
· Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding promptly to requests and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
· Follow all state, federal, and company guidelines related to responsible alcohol service
· Clear tables, maintain cleanliness, and reset spaces efficiently throughout and after events
· Assist with event breakdown and reset banquet rooms according to specifications to ensure readiness for upcoming functions
· Maintain working knowledge of all event spaces across the property
· Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and event leadership teams to ensure smooth and coordinated execution
· Follow all service standards, safety protocols, and attendance expectations
· Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful event operations
Requirements
· Previous experience in a restaurant/catering role preferred.
· Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous work experiences.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
· Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
· Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift/carry moderate weights (20-30 lbs) regularly.
Compensation Description:
$18.00 - $20.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
