Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic / Diesel TechnicianHIRING BONUS UP TO $6500.001st ShiftWednesday Thru Saturday Schedule!Shift Differential Pay 


Are you an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician looking for a good new opportunity?  Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician on 1st shift - Wednesday Thru Saturday.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician with a desire to work with a company that offers training, a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for career growth! 


What are the duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Familiar with all aspects of light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills
  • Diagnose cause of non-conformance, identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
  • Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
  • Must be able to use computer diagnostics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years' experience required
  • Preferred – Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree  
  • Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms. Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, Isuzu, Hino, Mack, Volvo, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla
  • ASE Certifications a big plus.
  • State Inspector License also a big plus

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.  The associate must be able to read and write reports. 
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  

  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.  
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).  
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • CDL a plus
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
  • Company may assist with obtaining additional certificates / licenses
