HVAC Commercial Technician Apprentice

Position: HVAC Commercial Technician Apprentice (Pitt County "Tradesformer")

Piedmont Service Group has been providing HVAC services to clients in NC, SC, and VA since 1971!

We are currently looking for a Technician Apprentice to work with us  in our Greenville, NC location.  The person hired in this position must be a current Pitt County "Tradesformer".  

As a HVAC Commercial Technician Apprentice for Piedmont Service Group, you will work under a seasoned HVAC Technician to learn the service, repair, and installation of all Commercial HVAC equipment encountered on PSG customer sites.  (Hydronic, Steam, Chilled Water, DX, Forced Air, Heat Pump, VAV, Constant Volume, Exhaust, and Heat Recovery)

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining  tools, supplies and equipment
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment under the direction of a PSG Technician
• Following all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE
• Following written project installation plans when working on projects
• Keeping appropriate records of work hours
• Flexibility to work extended shifts (e.g. early mornings and late nights)

Requirements

• Must be a Pitt County "Tradesformer"
• Valid NC drivers' license or other reliable mode of transportation
• must be able to pass a background and drug screen
• Willingness to obtain CFC certification (Universal or Type II)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Must have reliable transportation
