The JOB:
As a Lead Banquet Houseperson you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with people from all over the world! Our Banquet team proudly showcase our meeting space and food & beverage creations through events that range from business meetings to weddings. The Lead Banquet Houseperson is a role in which you directly impact the guests stay and have the ability to create memories that will last a lifetime! The Lead Banquet Houseperson is responsible for overseeing the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events while ensuring exceptional service standards. This role leads the banquet houseperson team, coordinates event logistics, and ensures all meeting and event spaces are prepared according to specifications in a timely and professional manner.

To be successful in this position, we're looking for an amazing people connector, who thrives on creating experiences and problem solving. This role as Lead Banquet Houseperson requires skills such :
- Lead and supervise banquet housepersons during event setup, service, and breakdown
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate room setups (tables, chairs, staging, linens, etc.)
- Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members based on event needs
- Ensure all event spaces meet hotel standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation
- Coordinate with Banquet Managers, Catering, and other departments to execute events seamlessly
- Monitor timelines to ensure setups and breakdowns are completed efficiently
- Assist with moving, setting, and storing equipment, furniture, and supplies
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup or service issues in real time
- Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and report maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hotel policies

Requirements
- Previous banquet or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of banquet setups and event operations
- Ability to lead a team in a fast pace environment
- Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Refined verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to consistently lift, pull and push a moderate weight
- Current Food Handler Card
