SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Tennis Pro Shop Manager is responsible for the oversight, engagement and merchandising of the Tennis Pro Shop. Reporting directly to the Director of Racquet Sports, this individual will manage inventory, merchandising, and reservations for the tennis courts- all while focusing on a service-minded approach, improving the member experience.


DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide daily support to the Director of Racquet Sports, including but not limited to – answering phones, communicating tennis-related information to the Communications department, and managing reservations of the courts.
  • Provide training on internal software systems including but not limiting to Northstar, Ez-Serve, and any other programs the department deems fit. 
  • Keep the office organized, clutter-free, and properly archive club material
  • Assist with the organization and set-up details for scheduled events, meeting with the appropriate staff on needs
  • Attend trade shows, remain current with modern trends, and purchase all merchandise for the Pro Shop.
  • Maintain the court sheets including the event sign-ups, guest registration, and court reservations.
  • Assist members in filling games.
  • Ensure proper record keeping and reporting by taking inventory of the merchandise monthly.
  • Completed special committee projects are assigned.
  • Oversee the Shop Attendant team members- ensuring quality member interactions, scheduling and accountability.
  • Ensure a clean, organized and inviting presentation of the Pro Shop, showcasing products in a manner that drives revenue.


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role, the Tennis Pro Shop Manager should:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, see and hear.
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  • Possess exceptional time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds on an intermittent basis.
  • Must be able to stand, squat, twist, and bend.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

This position requires pre-employment screening of a criminal background check and drug test.
