Description
An Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining cars, trucks, SUVs, and other vehicles. Your main duties include:
- Diagnosing concerns: Using tools to identify potential problems with vehicles.
- Repairing Systems: engine systems, brake and steering systems, electrical and electronic systems, transmissions, fuel components, and cooling systems.
- Performing Maintenance: Conducting emissions inspections, safety checks, vehicle examinations.
- Customer Interaction: Explaining repairs and issues to drivers, providing excellent customer service.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
- Test Drives: Holding a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- Relevant education and training in automotive technology.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
- ASE certifications A1 thru A8
