Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Serverless)

About the Role We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and serverless architectures. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while leading DevOps best practices. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll collaborate with developers, QA, and architects to build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient systems that enable faster delivery.

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement serverless and event-driven architectures on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge).
• Lead and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable deployments.
• Develop automation scripts and tools in Python, Bash, or Go for operations and deployment tasks.
• Ensure cloud security best practices across IAM, secrets management, and compliance standards.
• Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting for highly available systems.
• Partner with developers and architects to improve system reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
•  Mentor and guide junior engineers, setting DevOps standards across the organization.
• Participate in on-call rotations, leading troubleshooting and resolution of critical issues.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud environments with proven serverless expertise.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Strong experience with containers (Docker, ECS, EKS/Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Solid understanding of networking and security concepts in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence cloud/DevOps architecture.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA).
• Knowledge of cost optimization and FinOps practices in AWS.
