The production worker is responsible for operating vacuum packing machinery, ensuring proper sealing and labeling of food products. They must also maintain a clean work environment and report any equipment issues or product defects to the supervisor.

Description:
· Take product from the bagging table, or from tubs containing retail or hot smoke packs, and place on the vacuum packer.
· Ensure packs are straight and in the correct place for sealing.
· Take the vacuum-packed product from the other side of the machine and place it on tubs.
· Check all packs for proper seal.
· Vacuum sealing and labeling food products according to specifications.
· Reporting equipment issues or product defects to supervisor.
· Maintain clean work environment.
· Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.
· Comply with all facility GMP rules and policies and all processes and requirements of the Food Safety and Quality Management System as applicable.
· Complete other tasks at request of High Care Supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Cold environment and repetitive motions
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs, push up to 60lbs
- Ability to understand, and follow instructions (verbal and written)
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed
- Bi-lingual a plus!
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
