About the Role

Description

The Position:

As a Laundry Attendant, at Fireside Catering, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, ironed, and folded according to the highest standards, while also maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.

Responsibilities:

Collecting, sorting, and washing laundry items according to established procedures
Operating laundry machines and dryers to clean and dry laundry items
Folding and ironing laundry items as needed
Checking laundry for stains, damage, and quality issues
Maintaining an organized and clean laundry area
Handling laundry chemicals and ensuring they are stored safely and used properly
Keeping an inventory of laundry supplies and notifying management when supplies are running low
Reporting any issues with laundry equipment to management
Assisting with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

Prior experience in laundry services preferred
Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
Attention to detail and ability to identify stains and quality issues
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
