An exciting opportunity exists for a Consultant in Women’s Anaesthesia to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality care in a major public health service in Adelaide.
This role provides specialist anaesthetic, acute pain, and resuscitative services for obstetric and gynaecological patients, with responsibilities that include:
- Pre-anaesthetic patient preparation and participation in pre-anaesthetic clinics
- Providing pain relief services for labouring women
- Delivering anaesthesia for elective and emergency O&G surgeries
- Supervising and training anaesthetic registrars in line with the ANZCA curriculum
- Ensuring patient care aligns with evidence-based best practices
- Contributing to effective multidisciplinary teamwork
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
- Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Demonstrated expertise in obstetric and gynaecological anaesthesia
- Experience in a large public hospital setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
