The IT Networking & Data Center Officer is responsible for managing and administering the bank's communication system infrastructure, including network devices and voice systems. They ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of these systems through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and strategic planning.

1. BASIC FUNCTION:
- Manages Communication System infrastructure (Network and Voice).
- Act as administrator/2nd line of support and technical services for problem determination and resolution for the communication system, establish and enforces procedures for proper usage of communication equipment's, provides input toward the bank’s communication system architecture and strategic planning.
- Responsible for the implementation of new strategic communication facility.
2. WORK PERFORMED & MAJOR DUTIES:
a) Responsible for implementation of communication system changes
b) Responsible for administration and development of network infrastructure services that performed on Data network Devices such as Core and Edge Routers and switches.
c) Responsible for administration of Voice and Telecommunication system including (CCM, Unity, PRI, Recording System) and its integration with AUB-International entities.
d) Responsible for practicing of communication system asset management including devices and components inventory, related documentations, technical specifications information and configurations backup and recovery.
e) Responsible for investigation of network status to prevent downtime and perform troubleshooting as required to optimize the performance and cost effectiveness of the network.
f) Responsible for daily communication system support tasks (Activity monitoring, End-systems modifications) process and ensure adequate performance in problem analysis and fault resolution using monitoring programs and tools.
g) Establishes and implements network security policies, procedures and standard to comply with industry standard in information security systems and adhere to AUB standard Group policies.
h) Analyzes communication system logs to identify hardware, software and security issue and provides the mitigation mechanisms.
i) Identifies and rectifies as far as possible any faults (hardware/software) on communication system and acts as last resort before reporting to maintenance/support provider.
j) Manages reports regularly discussing the effectiveness of the telecommunication and security infrastructure and possible future strategies.
k) Oversees new and existing equipment's, hardware and software upgrade.
l) Manages network performance analysis and application usage and plan for growth and increase in communication system capacity also to ensure that the resources are used efficiently and the required resources usage does not exceed those available.
m) Undertakes necessary researches and training in order to gain a through knowledge of relevant security and communication related trends and technologies.
n) Performs any other related duties as assigned.
. WORK CONTACTS:
- Frequent contacts with immediate associates and hardware, database and system software vendors.
- Occasional contacts with users.
- Nature of contacts is to receive and give information, which require knowledge of the subject matter to solve problems.
4. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION-EXPERIENCE-SKILLS):
a) University graduate in Scientific discipline or equivalent.
b) 2-4 years experience in relevant work.
c) Good Knowledge of managing communication system infrastructure Routing & Switching.
d) Good knowledge of English / Arabic languages.
