Primary Location: Washington, DC

Clearance: Active TS/SCI


Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a SME I to serve as a subject matter expert supporting DHS missions in the Greater Washington, D.C. area, providing expert guidance, consultation, facilitation, training, change-management support, and specialized education to the client and project teams. This role leverages deep expertise in areas such as technology, science, public policy, administration, and management to deliver high-quality analysis and strategic support. The SME I drives mission outcomes by advising on complex challenges, developing informed solutions, and leading training and knowledge-sharing activities across the organization.

Requirements

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides specialized expertise, guidance, and consultation to clients and project teams in areas such as technology, science, public policy and administration, and management.
  • Facilitates workshops, meetings, and working sessions to advance project objectives and build client consensus.
  • Designs and delivers training and educational programs to build client and team capability in relevant subject areas.
  • Leads and supports change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, or organizational initiatives.
  • Applies deep subject matter knowledge to inform the development of deliverables, recommendations, and solutions tailored to client needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience with a deep understanding of and expertise in his/her subject area.
