[What the role is]
As a Digital Solution Engineer or Senior Digital Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and ongoing support of both delivered and customised application systems. You will collaborate closely with business users to understand their needs and provide recommendations for application enhancements, as well as take ownership of designing and developing new functional modules and subsystems to address business requirements.This position is hands-on, involving active engagement in investigating and troubleshooting application issues to deliver effective user support. Your will help maintain a stable and secure computing environment, while also driving improvements that enhance user experience and system functionality.
[What you will be working on]
- Conduct analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of enhancements, new functional modules, subsystems, and bug fixes, on ITE’s Student Information System (Peoplesoft Campus Solution).
- Evaluate business requirements and provide recommendations by conducting fit gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions and development of modification/enhancements of the existing modules/subsystems.
- Address issues and bugs reported by end-users, collaborating within the team to maintain the system.
- Manage task and project timelines, ensuring adherence to Government Instruction Manuals and policies.
[What we are looking for]
- Candidates should possess a background in Information Systems or a related field, ideally with at least five years of experience in systems analysis.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical thinking, writing, and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Good understanding of all stages of software development life cycles and structured project development methodology, including documentation skills.
- Experience with implementing and supporting PeopleSoft system, preferably in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
- Proficient in Oracle PeopleSoft systems techno-functional skillsets and SQL database scripting.
- Hands-on experience in developing applications with PeopleSoft technologies, e.g. PeopleTools 8.58 or above, PeopleCode, Fluid UI, SQR, Application Engine, XML Publisher, PS Queries, File Layouts, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Application Package, Approval Workflow Engine, is required.
- Experience with government procurement and familiarity with Government Instruction Manuals policy are added advantage.
