Okie Staffing is hiring a Bench Technician – Paint Prep to support a leading manufacturing company. This role involves detailed preparation and minor repair of components prior to painting.
You will be working closely with the paint team to ensure parts meet quality standards and are ready for finishing.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and mask aircraft components to ready them for the paint process
- Perform minor surface repairs and sanding as needed
- Use hand tools and bench equipment to support paint prep tasks
- Inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench and work area
- Follow all safety policies including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in paint prep in industrial manufacturing is a plus but not required
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and work from drawings or written procedures
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
- Dependable and safety-conscious with the ability to wear PPE as required
- Temp-to-hire potential based on performance
- $17.00 hourly
- Consistent daytime schedule
