We take skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers to iconic destinations around the world via evoTrip, our group and private travel business. We will open evo Hotel Tahoe City in Winter 2024/2025, and evo Hotel Hakuba in Winter 2024. The Job

 The Merchandise Planner plays a crucial role in maximizing sales, margins, and inventory efficiency through data-driven analytics and collaborative skills. You work closely with established product department groups, forming strong partnerships with Buyers to drive sales and ensure that assortments seamlessly align with our core values. In this role, you continuously analyze real-time performance data, create strategies to capitalize on successes, and mitigate potential risks.

The Opportunity

  • Develop, execute, and maintain financial plans and strategies that align with the company's merchandising, marketing, and financial objectives. 
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities at multiple levels of the product hierarchy, including class, subclass, and brand. 
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to create and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by department and class. 
  • Recap and analyze actual sales results compared to planned forecasts, and forecast in-season sales and inventory on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. 
  • Lead weekly meetings with supported merchants to analyze real-time performance and provide short-term forecasts. 
  • Conduct monthly meetings with supported merchants and planners to review historical trends, monthly and full-year sales and margin forecasts, and inventory positions. 
  • Collaborate with Senior Planners to consolidate inline inventory and sales forecasts at class and brand levels to create total department plans. 
  • Establish seasonal monthly inventory receipt plans for inline business. 
  • Provide recommendations on reorders and opportunity closeout buys.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

The Must Haves

  • 2+ years of retail planning experience is required, with a preference for multi-channel experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in driving a retail business through merchandise planning, inventory management, and margin optimization. 
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of data and information in a timely and highly accurate manner. 
  • Proven ability to build trusting, open working relationships with multiple stakeholders throughout an organization while effectively managing the business's needs.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a strong aptitude for quickly learning technical applications.

The base wage for this role ranges from $75,000.00/ to $90,000.00/yr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
