Engelhard Medical Center Pharmacy, a part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc. is a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our coastal communities. With locations in Ocracoke, Manteo, and Engelhard, we offer primary care, behavioral health, pediatrics, in-house pharmacies, and support for migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Our mission is to be a respectful, accessible, and comprehensive medical home for all.

Location: Engelhard, NC
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Pay: $15–$17/hour

Position Type: Temporary (June–September 2026)

This position is a temporary assignment covering a medical leave of absence from July through September.

We are ideally seeking someone who can start in mid-June to allow for training and a smooth transition.

What You'll Do:

Support Patients: Greet and assist patients in person and on the phone with warmth and professionalism.
Process Prescriptions: Enter data, prepare medications, and label/package with care and accuracy.
Stay Organized: Keep supplies stocked, manage files, and help maintain a smooth workflow.
Be Tech-Savvy: Use pharmacy software to handle prescriptions and insurance claims.
Pitch In: Collaborate with your team and take on other duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of relevant experience
Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred, not required)
