About the Role

Description

The Federal Savings Bank is a veteran-owned bank specializing in residential mortgage lending in all 50 states. We are dedicated to delivering white glove service to our customers and helping every member of our national community in achieving the goal of homeownership.


The Senior Marketing Compliance Specialist is responsible for review of materials to ensure the bank’s compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulatory requirements.


Qualified applicants must reside a commutable distance to our headquarters in Chicago, IL (Logan Square) at the time of application and be available to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to sales team and other internal teams while collaborating to problem solve and ensure compliance with company and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of government laws, ethics, and compliance reporting and responsibilities.
  • Proactively monitor requests and projects to ensure turn times and quality of review are maintained.
  • Support the development of advertising policies & procedures and interdepartmental guides/training materials.
  • Communicate compliance policies diplomatically with internal teams and collaborate to problem solve in pursuing new business initiatives.
  • Review materials for compliance with applicable state and federal regulations including but not limited to: ECOA, FHAct, FACTA, RESPA, Dodd-Frank Act, MAP Rule, UDAAP, TCPA, etc.
  • Use internal and external resources to gain greater understanding of practices and processes. Examples of resources are meeting with department leaders, communicating with examiners, and conducting research
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Interpret existing and emerging regulations and make procedural recommendations.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in highly regulated environments, (OCC regulated institutions preferred)
  • 3+ years in financial compliance or audit
  • Familiarity with banking laws and regulations, particularly with UDAAP, RESPA, MAP Rule, and Fair Lending laws
  • Clear understanding of digital marketing vehicles
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage several assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively independently as well as with others
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to solve for a variety of compliance and business issues within pressure and time-sensitive periods
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of bank management
