Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Loan Origination Assistant I at our Ontario, California location.
The hourly rate for this position is $31.97-$32.00 per hour depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
Description:
The Mortgage Loan Origination Assistant I supports assigned Mortgage Loan Originators in managing the client experience. This position creates and grows exceptional relationships with current and past clients, referral partners, team members and vendors all while ensuring satisfaction, communication and the right mortgage solution.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in client interviews to assess client needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Assist Mortgage Loan Originators with the loan application process.
- Provide excellent customer service on inbound and outbound sales calls with a high conversion rate.
- Review, prepare and organize complete preliminary loan packages for processing in a timely manner including, but not limited to, title work, credit reports, fraud reports, insurance documents, tax transcripts, and verifications of employment.
- Prepare cost estimates for clients.
- Order and review environmental reports.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, real estate agents, and titles companies.
- Coordinate loans with escrow companies, borrowers and other lenders.
Education / Experience Preferred:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Prior Mortgage LOA or Junior Loan Originator experience, preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly energetic, organized and responsive.
- Must be able to meet changing deadlines.
Working Conditions
The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
