Pharmacy Technician
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality primary medical services. Under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, you will assist with daily pharmacy operations and collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients during prescription drop-off and pickup.
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately into the computer system, consulting with the pharmacist as needed.
- Retrieve, count, and prepare medication orders to support pharmacist workflows.
- Create and update patient profiles, including health and insurance information, within the computer system.
- Respond effectively to patient inquiries and assist with medication-related questions.
- Support pharmacy inventory management and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to facilitate seamless patient care.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- Licensed by AZ Board of Pharmacy required.
- Valid pharmacy technician license or registration as required by state regulations.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
