About the Role

Company Description

Lesaffre Egypt for yeast industries is an Egyptian joint stock company for producing baking yeasts and yeasts extract. We are 100% owned by the holding company and part of Middle East & Africa baking region.

Lesaffre Egypt was established according to the Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law No. 8 of 1997, and registered in the Commercial Registry Office of Cairo Investment authority under No. 65570 on April, 14, 2013.

Our main operational purpose is to establish, manufacture, and package yeasts, yeast derivatives, and yeasts extracts. These many forms and types are then used within food products, animal feed, bread-making and bread improvers, flavorings, colors, and enzymes.

In October 2014, Lesaffre Egypt for yeasts industry (S.A.E) began effectively managing the acquired company.

Lesaffre Egypt’s main office is located in the Giza Governorate of Sheikh Zayed City while the factory is placed in the Nubaryia Industrial Area of El Beheira Governorate. We also have a Baking Center and Logistics Warehouse in 6th of October City. Currently, We employ more than 200 individual.

 

Job Description

  • Lead the entire shift team to follow the shift production plan and deliver targets on time and in full.
  • Daily follow up for all breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance and give notifications to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor production and quality KPIs in real time, taking immediate corrective action and escalating recurring gaps.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Drive a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring strict adherence to GMP, SOPs.
  • Compare real-time production progress with the fermentation plan; report any variance in productivity or inventory.
  • Ensure all raw material availability and withdraw the required quantities from inventory and monitor material consumption in fermentation and reconcile stock movements to prevent variances.
  • Oversee SCADA operations, ensuring automatic sequences run smoothly and processing data is accurately recorded.
  • Audit equipment and workspace conditions meet 5S standards while driving lean thinking across the shift.
  • Communicate shift priorities, issues, and performance clearly to team members and supervisors.
  • Execute batch creation, release, and declaration processes in SAP, ensuring timely confirmation of process orders for each fermentation batch.
  •  Ensure all production logs, checklists, and digital entries are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • 🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

  • 👨‍🏭 Experience: 3–5 years in manufacturing operations, including 2+ years in supervisory or shift lead roles

  • 🗣 Language & Communication: Strong command of English with excellent technical reporting and communication skills

  • 💻 Digital Skills: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • ⚙️ Systems Expertise: Experienced in SCADA systems for real-time process monitoring and operational data review

  • 🔍 Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify deviations, ensure accuracy in process parameters, equipment status, data integrity, and compliance with standards

  • 📊 ERP Knowledge: SAP User.
